Kitchen Keepsake Challenge

Kitchen Keepsake is hosting an awesome  cookbooking crop event , The Food Network Mixer!! I'm so excited! They have games, challenges, new ideas and of course there is a great giveaway! I completed my first challenge!!!!  Kristie's semi-homade.  For this challenge   you have to use at least one pre-made embellishment that you alter in some way to make it your own semi-homemade embellishment.  I used a CTMH epoxy clip, I colored pearls with my BIC markers and added them to the side and also tied some ribbon to the clip.  This is the first time that I use 3-dimensional embelishments in a scrapbook page.  I usually make my own embelishments with my cricut.

A New Season A New Skill Blog Hop

Welcome to our blog hop!

If you have come from Sue-Ann's site then you are in the right place. If you have not click here to go to Crafting Misfit's site and start at the beginning. She also has some blog candy there so make sure to visit! You can also link up your own project there.
The twist to this blog hop is that all projects have to have us try something new! Either a new project, a new technique, or a new material/supply. Thank you in advance for all of your comments! After visiting my blog please visit Tammy at Cuttin' and Stampin'.

My technique is glass etching. I've been wanting to try this for a while but I was a little scared.  I etched a mug for my husband. It was hard to take the picture, finally I was able to find a way to show my design here it is:

It wasn't that hard or scary,  I'm planning on making some for my two sons and some friends.  I did make some mistakes, the etching cream went under some areas of the mask.   My husband liked it a lot and did not complain, when I showed him my mistake he said it looked like part of the design.  I used Car Decals Cartridge for the eagle and Father's Day for My Guy sign.  I hope you like it.  Will be posting more pictures later.  Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Lolis

Easter Side Step Card

I made this card using an svg from Mommy's Mel Addiction, you can find it HERE. I also used the Cricut to cut the eggs but I don't remember what cartridge I used.  After cutting them I used different Cuttlebug embossing folders.  The Happy Easter label is computer generated using word art.
