Buñuelos

Eating Buñuelos on New Year's Day Morning is a tradition for good luck.  We drank hot chocolate and ate  Buñuelos to assure a sweet 2012!!  I forgot to take pictures of us eating them.  But here I am making them and a picture with my oldest son.  He kept checking up on me (and the bunuelos) and helping me in anyway he could.  He took the pictures!
The layout is for Amy's Challenge at Kitchen Keepsake.  The challenge:  Use the word "Celebrate" or the like somehow on your creation!

Kitchen Keepsake Inspiration.

This is my calendar for the month of January.  We are starting a new forum on Kitchen Keepsake.

Culinary Muse for the next 52 ~ 2012

We are about to embark upon a world wind tour and exploration of your five senses and so much more!

There is so much inspiration, join in us this amazing tour! You won't be short of inspiration!

My inspiration came from a quote :
~quote.. "We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

So I'm starting a calendar for this 2012.

The calendar is designer paper  and cutouts of snowman and snowflakes.  The letters and the title are also part of the kit.  So much fun to complete! Now I'm ready to start writing on the blank new pages of this new year!

More cards using the heat embossing technique on the edges.  This card has four layers on top of the card. I just loved this technique.

Christmas card

For this technique I heat embossed the edges using a technique by Gina K., you can see the video here.
I used CTMH silver embossing psowder on CTMH outdoor denim cardstock.  The stamp is by SU and the sentiment is CTMH.
