Baby Shower Cake

Here is another one of my favorite cakes. I made this one for my sister-in-law's baby shower.
It only has the basket weave on top of the cake for the baby's crib. The flowers I made pastel blue, pastel green and white with a yellow center. I just love making those flowers. I used Wilton method to make the flowers and all the decorating.

Cake

I will be posting some of the cakes that I have made in the past. This is the cake that I made for my friend Anna. It was the groom's cake for her daughter's wedding. I enjoyed making this cake so much! Thank you Anna for the challenge! Everything is edible except for the chain. We saw the chain at Walmart's toy department and we thought it was perfect for the cake. The boot and the ball are made of cake inside and covered with fondant. I decorated the sides with the basket weave

Tara's May challenge 2nd part

Here is my layout for creative cookbooking challenge. For the Challenge we have to create a layout that shows a meal we used to eat as children and now we prepare it for our children. Even though my boys are not real fans of beans, I still prepare them very often.

I made this layout for Tara's May Challenge at Creative Cookbooking. The challenge is to do a layout using black, white and gold. I decided to use my mother's day pictures. Jorge and the boys worked very hard to give me the Royal treatment for mother's day.

Cookbooking

Completed a challenge for Creative Cookbooking. The challenge is called "Go Green". You are to use packaging from a kitchen item on a food related layout. As some of you may know I recently became interested in cookbooking. Creative Cookbooking has the best designers with the most amazing ideas!! Stampin Up Demo

This are the cards that we made at Marielena's Stampin Up Demo at Kim's house. As always she had great ideas and new techniques to share with us. We used the dots folder to emboss the blue cardstock in the background. Notice the tiny brad used for the knob.

The background splatter effect was created with a background stamp. Gorgeous!

We made the flower by punching different sizes of circles. The paper splits after distressing it, this gives it as suade effect. We formed the flower.
