They Draw and Cook Challenge "Watermelon Ice"
This is for Suzanne's June Challenge at Kitchen Keepsake. The challenge was to get inspiration from They Draw and Cook website. I painted the watermelons with watercolors, other paper used for the letters, matting and layout is Fancypants. I was thinking about painting apples when I saw a challenge over at creative scrapbooking divas calling for a page with a summer fruit or vegetables. Since we have so many watermelons thanks to some wonderful friends, I decided on the watermelons.

Father's Day Card
This is the card I made for my husband for Father's Day. It was my oldest son's idea to make a card with a bull. In the back it says "No Bull Dad, You're the Best". I used the Old West Cricut cartridge and for the rooster I used From my Kitchen, the grass is from Plantin SchoolBook. The card is a double tri-shutter card. The card closed measures 6"by 8" I made a box for it using the Score-Pal.

Box for beaded pens
I have been making beaded pens for a couple of years now. I personalize them and give them as a reward to my outstanding students. I also make a box to go with the pen. I have made the boxes with acetate but it is time consuming and hard to glue. I've also used cardstock, but the pen can't be seen. So I combined the two and made a with a window using acetate to cover the opening. I used a CM square punch to cut it. I liked the result. The last week I made 28 personalized pens and boxes! It was lots of work but my wonderful students deserved them! it was so rewarding to hand them out as gifts!
Testing treats for my students.
I made these treats for my students before the TAKS test. The Pants are from Every Day Paper Dolls Cartridge and the Bee is from Create a Critter. The Pants were made with CTMH paper, I used a sanding tool to distress and create the look of denim. The following are the links to blogs where I got the inspiration.
